A 365 degree initiative on how the arts and creativity can spark dialogue and initiate change.
Voted "Best Art Speaker Series" by Charlotte Magazine (Best of the Best Awards 2018), the SPHERE SERIES continues to bring together local, national and international leaders in the arts to join a discussion on the value of cultural exchange and to share their experience curating, collecting and engaging with artists both locally and globally.
Our next lecture is on Wednesday, December 12th at the Mint Museum Randolph. Dr. Alice Burmeister will speak about West African factory-printed textiles and the way women use these textiles to communicate with each other.

Beginning in September 2018 through April 2019, the SPHERE SERIES: ART HISTORY LECTURES will travel to different cultural spaces throughout the city each month for a one-of-a-kind event. The casual and educational mini-courses focus on the cultural, political and historical context of a specific art movement led by Charlotte's most creative educators, academics and arts leaders. Museums, restaurants, bars and galleries! Professors, architects, artists and authors!
